How did you get started?
Songbird Avenue, Inc. was started as a collaborative “pet project” of two designers, Jan Crowley and Meredith Fenwick. At the time, a digital scrapbooking boutique based solely on charitable giving didn’t exist in the industry and frankly, it just seemed like a good idea, one that motivated the designers and fulfilled their need to give back and perpetuate the giving nature of the scrapbooking community. We get to work with the most amazing designers, month after month, and we are incredibly grateful for that. After 1 year of success, Songbird Avenue, Inc. is still going strong and we intend to keep it that way. Thank you for all of your support and help each month!

How are the charities chosen?
Normally, the charity is chosen by our guest designers every month. We do, however, have a list of charities that have been requested by our supporters and we share this list with any designer who is not sure of which charity they would like to donate to.

How are guest designers chosen?
Guest designers are primarily invited to create a kit, but we are always open for requests. If you would like to collaborate with us, feel free to email us.

How much of my kit purchase price is actually donated to the charity?
Approximately $7.47 of your $8.00 is donated to our featured charity. This may fluctuate with Paypal’s ever-changing rates and we will update as often as is necessary.

How are advertisement payments used?
Advertisement purchases are used to help offset the cost of running the Songbird Avenue, Inc. website. This includes server fees, upgrades, legal fees, and any other expenses the project incurs.

Is my kit purchase tax deductible?
Unfortunately, your kit purchase is not tax deductible. Because you are receiving a product (even in a non-tangible, digital format), we are technically considered a boutique and you cannot use your invoice for tax refund purposes.

Is my donation to Songbird Avenue, Inc. tax deductible?
Donations made directly to Songbird Avenue, Inc. will be tax deductible. We are in the process of filing as a registered 501(c)(3) foundation. Please retain your receipts for your records.

Do you offer a commercial use or ‘extended use’ license for the kit of the month?
At this time, Songbird Avenue, Inc. kits are only for personal use. The kits may not be sold, resold, distributed, or shared. Please view our TOU (terms of use) if you are unsure about how you can use the kit.
